FAMILY PORTRAIT ON THE BEACH TIME

It's finally getting warm out and we are gearing up for our annual Family Portraits on the Beach sessions. This year we seem to be booking up early so we are adding an additional day each week. (Can only do one family per night.)

If you haven't already done so, stop by the studio and pick up a $50 gift certificate towards your order when you book your Beach Sitting. Choose your color scheme ( khakis/white, jeans/white), and bring bug spray as the bugs come out toward the end of the session. We had a lot of fun last year with people splashing in the water.

Families sometimes pack a picnic dinner to have when the session is over or even meet at the beach prior for a barbecue at the picnic area. (You might want to bring the good clothes for the kids to change into after dinner.

It's communion season and as usual we are starting to load up with appointments.

We take a variety of poses both portrait and religious, NO LIMIT with different backgrounds if requested.

We have 3 very traditional backgrounds, a new very contemporary background, our pastel meadow and our Old Stone Church set and a Swing. All of these backgrounds can be seen in our gallery. Weekdays we also have a stained glass background.

For those of you who belong to St Patricks in Smithtown we will be at the church on Communion days. This year we are also doing family portraits at the Church

PRICING FOR THE NEW ECONOMY

Todays economy has necessitated new ideas and pricing that reflects the recession the country is in. At Renaissance we have a tradition of never cutting the quality of our product. We refuse to use lesser photographers because despite the current economic situation we still want to produce a product that 20, 30, 40, even 50 years from now will still elicit wonderful memories and not the thought that you got bad photos because of the $$ involved. So we came up with a plan that can save you some $$ and still give you priceless photography and video.

Our photography packages now include some RECESSION BUSTER SPECIALS and new ways to organize your order. We feel that the most important part of your photography is the photographer. A good photographer will capture all those special moments for posterity. So you now can get JUST THE PHOTOGRAPHER. Package that with either a loRez CD with all the images on it ready for "electronic" use @ $995, or a HiRez DVD that you can use to print you own album or bring back to us at a latter date to make an album. Our new package PHOTOGRAPHER & HIREZ DISK for 6 Hr $1295 or for 8 Hr. $1595 This also includes proofs online for everyone to see.

We also have the option of the STUDIO WEDDING. Bring everyone to the studio and we will take wonderful images of everyone for a flat fee of $300. Then you can order anything you want after the wedding.

We have our CREATE-A-COVERAGE where you pick the hours starting at one hour on location for $695 and $100 for each additional hour. Again you can buy anything you want after the wedding

And last we will make albums from your own images. Be careful with this one. It sometimes costs more to FIX your images so they look good than to hire us to take the photographs.

For VIDEO we are taking 15% off our regular prices just so you can fit it into your budget.

Looking Forward To Communion Season & The Beach

Welcome to the Winter Freeze of 2009. I just finished shoveling the latest snow fall and now it's raining. Should have waited. So naturaly my thoughts have gone to warmer weather. Ah . . .Communion season is rapidly coming up and we are gearing up for another photographic whirlwind of activity.

Three new things this year.
First you can request a second background at the studio at no extra charge. This includes our Old Stone Church background.
Second for those of you who have children at St Pats in Smithtown. We will be offering family portraits as well as individual portraits of the Communion kids. Saves you a trip to the studio.
And third at the studio pick any package over $250 and receive a $50 Gift Certificate that can be used anytime.

Thinking ahead of warmer weather . . . plan your beach photos and family groups now. Last year we had a number of families that couldn't get together in time. There are just a limited number of great sunsets and evenings when the whole family can get together. We photograph families on the beach almost every night of the week so call ahead for your time slot. (Yes we always plan a rain date)

So, I feel warmer already.
